Feeling red!

Hello everyone! It's about that time of day again where I apologise for how late my post is, and I am sorry lol! I hope you've all had a nice relaxing and enjoyable Easter Sunday! My post today is in no way related to easter unfortunately, but it is on an absolute hero/go to shade, red! Until I decided to do this post, I didn't actually realise how many shades and brands of red I owned. Before I fell in love with Nails Inc, the Barry M polish was 100% my favourite red. I loved the depth of colour and the coverage! Sometimes I think red can be looked up on as a Christmas related shade, just like green but in my opinion red is possibly the most intense, fierce shade! I think I would say that Nails Inc 'St James' is now my number 1 red shade! The brands of red polishes I own include, Nails Inc, OPI, Orly, Barry M, George, Models Own, Loreal, Leighton Denny and Essie.
Some of the effects include cream shine gloss, glitter, shatter, metalic, magnetic and sand! Within my red polishes, I have another sand effect from the Mariah Carey OPI collection! This shade has a matte black base and shiny red glitter on what looks like the top of the nail! This effect doesn't need a topcoat, as using one would affect the final effect! My Leighton Denny red shades is one of the most beautiful, rich metalic effect shades I've come across! The coverage is brilliant! The Orly shades aren't my favourite as I don't feel their quality is the best, but I do quite like the red for a base colour for a glitter topcoat! The Essie in the photograph is actually the only Essie I own! If they're all as good as this glittery shade then I would absolutely call myself a fan! I would also say that red is one of those 'go to' shades that people feel more comfortable with on their toes, so bring on summer so we can get our red toes out on show! :-)
